Belle Rose HEMI Shoot Out
 

Counting on the 1st round of qualifying and with 3 Hemi cars on premise, I don't think that that format will last long. It's a gift for those racers to race for $5k and only a limited amount of cars show up. What a shame. They should distribute that money to the rest of the racers or make it a DP shoot out. Just my look at it.

The reason nobody showed up is because nobody knew anything about it till yesterday. We still don't know if its Chrysler's deal or not.

Chuck: It's hard to find, but it was posted on the Lucas oil forum on the NHRA webpage, It's hidden in the qualifing run times. You are right, they should have posted it better, I personally like to watch the Hemi cars.

This was by design, so NHRA has an excuse to abolish it, so it can make way for a AA/SA or AAA/SA shootout with the CJs and DPs

Come on guys...you think the hemi hitters don't network or know the races they want to hit? Guarantee they are loading up for upcoming races that they prefer.

Well when Charlie Westcott finds out just yesterday that there is a shootout I would think the word didn't get out very well.

I was going to go with full crew, just got sick early this week. Tried to find a stick driver (Kevin Helms) but it would have messed up his Jegs points etc. SO here sits a competitive car, 2 hours away and me on MEDS. That is 2 years in a row to miss my home track race. Maybe next year.

And this is from real world, 4 hemi cars on the property and Steve Kent is saving it for first round of the shootout on Saturday,'
It's kind of like this, no money is posted so with the gas prices are sky high. I'm not surprised with the 4 cars, but really it is what it is.
