Racing Slicks
Am running a B-Sitck '69 Nova big block. Am looking to buy new set of slicks. Not sure which manufacturer is best to buy, the circumference to get and the compound to use? Currently using Hoosier 30 x 9 x 15 and D07 compound. Wondering what people are running and would suggest I try using.

Re: Racing Slicks
Long life, consistent and fast...hard to beat M/T 29.5" x 9" "S" for stiff sidewall (stick slick).

Re: Racing Slicks
Jeff is correct, the Mickey "ST" works great with a stick. I tried Hoosier's once and they worked good.......for about 15 runs, then they would never hook.

Re: Racing Slicks
I run 9x30 Pheonix's... i dont run a stick, but i dont run the radial slick...
I would give them a call and see what they have for you... i was doin 1.48-1.49 60fts with mild 455 combo in my 68 bird at full race weight of 3550 leavin at 2000 on footbrake...Caltracs on rear, front suspension all stock, not even trick springs... I put 150 passes on them, check holes were about gone and they were still hookin when i took them off... |
