Live from Atco,NJ - NHRA PC Richard National Open
Finally!!!! The Division One season has officially started .But not without a hitch of course. The normal two and a half hour ride here turned into 4 1/2 for many reasons- first rain in buckets -then fog bigtime - and then huge delays on the Pennsylvania green stamp .But I can't believe my eyes hardly - here at Atco not a drop all day I'm told -- nothing - nada - zip .Is this the Atco we've all grown to to love ? Tomorrow will tell but the weather is starting to look a bit better for sure .
Parking - plenty everywhere -prime space all around . Only problem I've had is terrible Internet connection -- its usually pretty good but not tonight . Yippee .........Yah, I know for a guy that doesn't have a car here I'm in pretty good spirits .And it feels really strange not to have a trailer connected to the bus .Kept looking in my mirrors all the way here and it never was there .Weird , really weird .Back in a bit some pictures .And you folks can forget about videos this weekend - its not going to happen - blame Toby - he's the one who has all of you spoiled .Its me this weekend as Ken probably isn't going to make it .Later ......... |

Jack, are you saying the asphault pits aren't taped off like a crime scene?:>):>):>)

Re: Live from Atco,NJ - NHRA PC Richard National Open
C'mon Ed, you know crime scenes use less tape than that LOL.

As you'll see from my pics fuel is a little cheaper here in New Jersey with unleaded at under $3.50 and diesel @$3.85 -these prices are at the Valero - intersection of rt 73 and Jackson Rd. on the way to the track .
Manning the gate tonight were these two cuties and we got talking a little - they ( opps -this reporter forgot to get their names ) thought most tracks were open round the clock for racers to get in - the truth is we're spoiled by Atco - most places we sit in a field all night - thanks Joe Sway and Co. - sure is a lot nicer being inside and set up without have to crawl in early in the morning . |
