I`ve been to Topeka more times other than Bandimere,and I`ve never wished that upon myself. But wow,I`ve never seen the skies look that bad out there!

Tony, If you have facebook, I just posted 28 photos that I took @ the track this afternoon. Everything was fine @ the track, but our motel @ 17th & Topeka Blvd had baseball hail & everyone was escorted into the ballroom as a storm shelter.
Been here all my life, pretty nasty looking storm.

UNK, thats the worst iv'e seen there. MIKE said it was headed to the BLIND TIGER & CARLOS O' KELLYS was there any damage that you know of? looks like on the weather channel your going to get more rain. where is JASON TINBERG?

We ate at the Blind Tiger about 7:30pm, and there didn't appear to be any noticable damage. At the Eccono Lodge hotel, there was tennis ball size hail in the parking lot however.

We parked under a bridge and waited things out when it first started. Then, made a move back to the track to avoid the storms.

One touched down around Emporia / Reading KS just a little south of Topeka early this morning.

these races should have been held the first part of June. That would have missed the weather.

i lived/grew up in south central nebraska and never seen a tornado in person until i moved to colorado....
seen plenty of what they can do, though....

i see Joplin,MO just got hit, think 24 were killed;(
