79-93 mustang front under rad support spoiler?
just wonder if there are any et gains by running the plastic spoiler that goes under the front bumper on a fox body mustang?

Re: 79-93 mustang front under rad support spoiler?
I ran a M/SA 87 Mustang GT for a couple years. I thought I would be a smart guy and pull off the front rad support spoiler thinking it was going to help the air flow. It slowed the car down almost 2 mph and a 1/10. I put it right back on and the car picked up back where it was. Car ran 11.90's at 109. Yes it helps.

if you are talking about the plastic {ABS looking} piece, I took it off last year because I thought it may be tripping the finish line lights under braking conditions, thereby giving me a quicker et instead of slowing my time. I however haven't seen any mph or et difference with it off.

I think the little spoiler is for directing air to the radiator for cooling on the street. Probably has no performance advantage on or off at the track.

It WILL trip the beams when hard on the brakes! I've seen dad do it more then once!
