Dodge Dakota racers?
Does anybody make a 5 bolt front hub for these trucks? I am putting together a 99 Dakota for a customer and he would like to change it to 5 bolt wheels.
Thank you, Larry |
Re: Dodge Dakota racers?
Yes, The early Dakota's had 5 lug rotors. Bruce Flodin in Div6 has converted his truck.

Re: Dodge Dakota racers?
not sure but a guy in my area did one a while back like 4-5 years ago--he said he used 2002 Dodge RAM 1500 (1/2 ton) Pick up hub--also told me that he was told that Dodge NITRO and certain Jeep Liberty hubs will also fit ---ya end up with about a 3/16-1/4 inch offset difference than with a "stock" Dakota wheel towards the inside of the wheelwell--- he then used F150 ford rotors---cant remember the year tho instead of redrilling his original rotors from 6 to 5 lug didnt want to go thru the hassle and maybe have problems with his brakes---however he did have to modify the Ford rotor a bit either the total outside diameter of the rotor or the inside register hole---hope this helps--comp

All I did was send mine to MOSER and they redrilled and tapped mine to the standard MOPAR 4 1/2" bolt pattern for me....I then used 1/2-20 3" studs and Loctite Red to glue them in.....this has been in service along time and has given me no problems whatsoever.....

Knock out the 6 and get a machine shop to redrill 5 on either 4 1/2 or 4 3/4 bolt circle. I assume this is a street truck.
