Stock Piston Acceptance
For having a new piston accepted by NHRA,do you send it to the same PO Box with ATTN: Stock/Super Stock Commitee? It`s been a while. lane

Re: Stock Piston Acceptance
The piston manufacturer must submit samples to NHRA for approval, and NHRA may require an unmodified OEM piston as a control sample, if they do not already have one.
I've been through the piston approval process, NHRA put us, JE and me, through the wringer, for 6-9 months. |

might be handy to know what to do and what NOT to... |
Re: Stock Piston Acceptance
Everytime I`ve done it,I bought a piston and sent it to NHRA. Would normally hear back from them in a week, and receive the piston back I sent them in about two.

the use of the Badger.I would guess the process is much longer if the piston co. has to custom make a piston. |
Re: Stock Piston Acceptance
I`ll just send it to the PO Box,and hope from there.

Re: Stock Piston Acceptance
Took a little while, but got a call today from the Tech Dept.,was asked about the combo(my mistake for neglecting some info, like I said,it`s been a while),and a return call about a half hour later. Piston was accepted.
