Don Hardy Tube chassis 68 Camaro
 

Don Hardy built moly tube chassis 68 Camaro. Strange struts with ladder bars. Dana 60 with 4.56 gears. Car was certified to 8.50 last year (would certify quicker but needs a couple of bars). Car has 7al 2 Ignition, Electric shifter, mega 400 delay box, Painless wiring. Engine is a Dart headed 496. 4340 crank, H beams, and SRP Pistons. Car has a small roller so its easy on springs. Rupert alky 1050. 1.80 straight cut power glide with 8" converter. For the newer stuff. The car has Moser 35 spline Axles with under 10 passes. The PTC converter and slicks have under 15 passes. The car weighs 2950 and has around 425lbs ballast to run 5.95/6.00 and still shifts at 6200/6400. I took about 215 lbs out earlier this year at a bracket race and went 5.74@119. Car should run high to mid 5.50s with all the weight removed. Its a great 6.00 car the way its setup. I usually have 20 in the box at MMP leaving at 4200 on a .400 tree.
