Help with ignition problems.
 

Got the car back together fired it up and it runs great for a little bit then quiet’s with a little puff out the carb. It starts right back up runs nice for a while then does it again. When it is running there is no miss sound good till it does it again.

Running a 7 al ignition box with a MSD distributor. And Accel coil.

Any good ideas on where to start looking?

Sounds like a vacumn leak maybe. It would run great until you try to idle then it will die.

No it will sit there steady at about 1000rpm then with out any thing else changing it hickups and dies. I am thinking must be coil or ignition box related. Or an issue with the the ignition switch. It almost seems like the ignition power skips.

I would start with the coil, easiest and cheapest (also most likely) part to change.
