Timing Light Recomendations

It's about time to replace my old Sears timing light and I would appreciate some recommendations from you guys. The one I have has the old dial advance on it and I like that feature but I know the newer ones have digital readout and I wondered how well that works? Jim

The Sears non digital / non adjustable or the MSD timing light are still the best for setting timing on a with a car with an MSD ignition.
For non MSD applications I like my MAC tools digital light.

Yeah I thought that until the dyno pointed out my 'aint broke' timing light was 10 degrees out. Since then I have been told MSD is the only way to go.

p.s. try and find a timing light locally..... can we say scavenger hunt?

X2 on the Flaming river light and just to let you know My Mac and Snalp on lights worked great but showed about 6 degrees more advance over a MSD or Flaming river lite as most lites do not like multi spark systems!! I have seen more burnt pistons because of guys not using a good timing light. Most Timing light are made to work work with OEM systems and the timing is set a curb idle.

Here are some links to look over.
