Well almost - today someone could have bought a contender - while at Manheim Philadelphia today buying cars I came across this 05 P T Cruiser Turbo rag - it crossed the block at a very reasonable $4,600 plus fees - just goes to show that even if you spent a bunch making a full fleged racer out of it you wouldn't have to spend a hundred grand to be # 1 .This would make Billys' list of Rockets for sure - maybe not a dime one but a quarter for certain .

I always kind of thought the rag top PT Cruiser and the newer rag top VW Beetle looked like bathtubs on wheels.

How many miles. I was thingking about leaving my car home and take my wifes 05 with 12 K miles on it. If they ain't worth no more than that, I might have a new DP, and it ain't no damn bug. That's really cheap. Course I would have to deal with her.

I actually had access to one for several years. It was a hardtop, not a convertible. Hardtop isn't bad looking, it's the convert that is hard to look at! :eek:Jim

Danny - The truth of the matter - and any dealer will tell you it happens - I was like a deer in headlights - this car was cheap and no one thought it would be sold . We all just watched as they dropped the hammer and sold it .Would have made a great car on my lot - and as for a reporter car .......well lets just say its not me .Lois might have looked very good in it though ............Top up or down .
