that's the scariest shutdown area of any track I've ever raced at...if you ever lost the brakes there it looks like you'd go off the end of the earth

I think it looks worse than it is, from the camera view. Ive been down a lot worse !

Kenny, the Cam View doesn't do it justice. I took a walk back in May during one of our Association Races and it's a mighty big drop down right after the sand and what most people don't know about the shutdown/sandtrap at Cecil that there is a house a few feet back in the wood that is a dead bulls-eye if something were to happen. I think a Bracket car a few years back, a dragster lost his brakes and the way he hit the hill at the end it shot him up in the air and in between two trees, luckily the kid only had a broken arm, scrapes and some bruises.

I believe this is where VanPoppel's dad had his crash that put him in a wheel chair while driving a S/S Camaro many many years ago. Racing can cause bad things to happen to good people.
