swapping rear tires side to side
I do understand swapping side to side is recommended, at least by Mickey Thompson Tires. I do as recommended, usually swap them after each race.
But each time they are moved it is two runs before the tires resettle back in. Many times, two runs is all we get before first round. Thus, there is that "little thought" for first round, "are the tires back to the number?" So, let me hear your experience. Do you, or do you not swap? Do you also experience that two run back to normal issue? |

Re: swapping rear tires side to side
I never rotate the radials, and rarely did when I ran bias plys. Only if the wear pattern started to look bad. Probably around 100-150 runs. 'Course my Duster bracket car is a light, low-powered car, and even on the small tire (28x9), I think the worst I ever did on a set of M/T bias was ~300 runs. Haze'em and go!

I do it about once a month. And yes it normally take a couple runs for them to come back. I normally do it when I'm going to a divisional with a T&T session.
