Roller rocker ratio

So if I read the rule right I can put 1.70 arms on the 230 6cyl instead of "factory" 1.75? (Harland Sharpe makes a 1.7 for the 230.....the factory arms that are on the car are anywhere from .354 to .382 lift .388 is spec)

This no rocker ratio listed has just opened a can of worms. When you just have a lift rule there are all sorts of ways to design the cam and rocker ratio to get the job done. Talk about different lobe designs. One thing I would not do is use a rocker that had it's actual ratio or any ratio stamped on it. Ask Jeff teuton about that!!

NoNoNo Adger, You missed the point. Have the rockers stamped with the ratio you want on it. They will not know how to measure to see what it really is.

Is that so? I would think a techman knows to measure the lift at the retainer and then at the lifter. Simply divide for the ratio.

Good luck if you think you can slip that past anyone.
