Orlando Divisional

D2 is starting to release a bit more info...looks like the index classes are returning, guess they will give it another year to see if participation improves. Stock and Super Stock first round on Sunday morning. Entry fees the same at least....

Thursday Test and Tune - $100.00? Is that right? Is there a gamblers race that day?

Why don't they run the 10-11-12 classes on Saturday. Probably get more cars that way.

Last year the index classes had qualifying starting on Friday so think they've made a step in the right direction anyway; helps those who need to work on Fridays. Where Alcohol isn't contested they will probably end up getting an extra Q pass anyway. I like the car variety showing up for the Index classes....go Corky and Keith!

Unfortunately, $100 seems to be the going rate for T and T prior to LODRS events but Valdosta has a 5K to win combo race on the Friday of their LODRS event. Dumping alcohol has opened up all kinds of possibilities for the rest of the Sportsmen racers.

The change in Index classes (can we please think of a better name? sounds like a library club) is definitely to make it a Sat-Sun "bracket weekend" type schedule for the grassroots entry level racer.

Overall I like this setup better. S/C in the middle to avoid bald spots on the track, S/C and S/G (biggest car counts) round 1 on Sat. and others on Sun.

Anyone know if they give a grade point for running the index classes? I might be in Orlando at that time so I may try the 10.00 index class.

I guess I can always call the D2 office...

Since you probably haven't had any luck calling them, NO; grade points only given for the 'traditional' classes. But you could get a grade point by running Super Street.

What do you need grade points for?????

What race are you worried about not getting into?
