I have looked at the 2012 Beech Bend schedule and can't find any combo races

I think (HOPE) the dates that say NHRA drag racing are the combo days?

Terry, I doubt those are combo races, there are way too many of them, some that probably conflict with regional NHRA races. Those are probably the regular NHRA bracket series races.

I'm sure the actual combo schedule probably has not been set yet. I'll make some inquiries.

By the way, please be aware that the combo races are almost always held in conjunction with other events, and are rarely, if ever, stand alone events. On the schedule, they are usually listed as part of the day's event, such as "NHRA drag racing, plus Stock/Super Stock Combo".

Also, the NitroPlate Combo at the SportsNational open is listed, that's a good sign the regular combo series will be run. We had about 66 cars at the last combo race. I think Clay and the staff at Bowling Green are happy with the combo program.

They are never on the first schedule. I would think they will be put on at a later date.

I just heard from Clay. The schedule on their website is listed as tentative and will be updated. There will be SS/S combo races as well as SG races at Beech Bend this year.

Everybody needs to be planning Memorial Day weekend in Bowling Green. The $5000 NitroPlate combo is on.

The Combo races are now listed on the Beech Bend web-page schedule, going to have one April 1(Sunday), the next one on a Sat. night (May-12), a two day event (July28-29), also a two day (Aug. 11-12) and the final one Oct 28 (Sunday).

I would like to see the return of class racing on Saturday morning. That's the most fun for me! (win or lose) go heads up! Bob Michael.
