Schuebeck lifter question
 
What is the difference between 842FH and 842FS a racer has a used set with 5 runs, should there be any concerns, what is the advatage to using these lifters.

Lonnie,

The 842FH is a hydraulic and the 842FS is a solid. Both are .842 diameter flat tappet lifters typically used on Generous Motors engines.

The advantages are many, but the predominant one in the simplest of terms is the ability to use extreme valve spring pressures without fear of flattening the lobes of the cam.
