I have received several calls about this. Second round at Gainesville I ran Jim Carter (G/SA Volare). The day was very windy, about a 20mph tail, and some trash was blowing around. Jim and I ran and I got the win light and I was shown on DRC as going to the next round against Robbie Shaw. At the turn around they told us that a piece of plastic bag had blown through the beams on Jim's lane and he got no time. RERUN! We reran 30 minutes later and I broke out! LOSE! That's the story and I'm sticking to it! Jim:eek:

Jim, that is definitely an unfortunate situation for you. Last week at Pomona supposedly a photographer messed up the lights, RERUN now a bag through the lights, RERUN. Whats it gonna be this week ? ? ?

Jim and I are friends and it was unfortunate and avoidable, I was watching a big piece of plastic blow straight down the track when i prestaged and the starter was watching it as well but he elected to stage us anyway. I received a bogus ET so there wasnt much doubt that they would rerun us. I'm not doubting the starter's judgement though, there must of been a ton of stuff blowing through the beams all day.

Ironically, the bag was later identified as a doggie bag from Sonny's BBQ. You've got to keep the door to your RV closed. How's the puppy?
