T/SA do you need SFI coat and pants?

I purchased the Ed-mobile Gremlin for fun, and to introduce my 16 year old daughter into the fun and its not as easy as it looks world of class racing.....the 14 year old will be old enough soon too....

Do you have to run pants and a coat in all classes in stock? Internet connection to the NHRA site is giving me drama this morning.

Still going to order her lightweight pant and coat, once I get a size and the oh so important color request.

Where is the best place to buy helmets now a days?

Thanks

Eric

Eric, with the bar/cage in the car I believe at least the jacket is necessary. If you need the jacket might as well have the pants also.
Helmets are a personal prefference.I myself liked the Snell approved open face type.I
wore a full face once when I drove a friends open body altered and it was kind of
wierd.
I used Zamp helmets (Snell 95 and 2000) bought off the internet. They served me well.
Best of luck with the car and I'd like to be there when the young lady starts mowing down
a bunch of the players.Image losing to a girl, driving a gremlin no less. Oh the humanity.:>):>):>)

As noted before, NHRA requires a Snell 2005 or 2010 helmet now. Good luck to your young one! We need more young blood in the sport. Jim

You can get a G-Force SA2005 on eBay for $135. Realize it's not US made but a good place to start safely.

And Sparco from Biondo, only way to go.

You can NEVER have too much safety gear in my opinion...especially when you are putting your baby girl behind the wheel.

Also remember SA 2005 helmets expire in 2017......the 2010 helmets expire in 2022. Get the max. for your money!!

Eric - SFI jacket and pants are required in "AAA" through "M" classes. Long pants required in all classes.

Re: T/SA do you need SFI coat and pants?

Eric: No Jacket or Pants required for NHRA for N up..........We have been running the Wagon and Truck for years and both have Roll bars and Belts. Tech has told my Belts do not need recert either. However, We replace them anyway just not to have problem with tech somewhere since they are in car and the vehicles still run 11's so it can not hurt to have the extra stuff anyway.

Good Luck!

For me this is the best post of the year because it represents the best that Sportsman racing has to offer. Nice plan Eric.
