Lindsay Bests Owens In SSSSA All Stocker Final
41 cars made first round at the SSSSA 2012 opener at Orlando Speed World on Saturday. David Linsay defeated Charlie Owens in an all Stocker final. Lindsay's fuel injected Mustang Cobra stick car gave the handicap to Owens' "Wee Six" V6 two barrel Camaro and quickly made up the difference to take the win. Thanks to all the NMCA cars who came to race with us, we are glad to have you! Thanks also to Randy Weisinger and his crew for providing us with a great track surface and racing facility.
I would like to thank Dave Lindsay and Carl Weisinger for donating part of their winnings to the SSSSA that will help to fund a racer BBQ at the next race in Bradenton Memorial Day weekend. Mark, up until now we would qualify the same way as the NHRA and IHRA do. This really isn't the best way when you take into consideration the addition of the NMCA cars have joined us in such large numbers. We tried a new way this past weekend that seems to work. The jury is still out. I am awaiting racer input. Email me and I will tell you about it.
