You used NOS and blew the scoop apart.

Owwww! I feel your pain!
I thought the hoods were one-piece. Any ET improvements during testing before it happened as some consolation? |

Tom Gaynors DP did the same thing @ Pamona.

WOW Mack! Did it just fly off at speed? I also thought the hoods were one piece. The scoop looks like it was glued on! Any other damage to the paint any where else? Jim

Check out the link Mack has in the first post. Shows the rest of the damage. So, based on percentages, will Chrysler issue a recall or at least a TSB??? |

Now we know why the 2011 are a stock aluminum hood.....too bad they didn't do the DP with a real hood with a metal hood scoop and gasp hood hinges! The wind risk when the hood is on the roof is stressful. Good luck Eric |

Thanks Eric.... Plan to get in touch with my painter on Tuesday and see what his schedule is... I also voiced my opinion on these hoods before mine even got on the track... So will get it fixed and hopefully right this time....... I would love to have a stock hood with the hinges and all..... But we play the hand we have.. |
