Worner wins Part 2 Maple Grove 50th Anniversary Combo
9 Attachment(s)
Just like yesterday the winners sibling got to watch - today it was Bryan Worner who got to watch his twin brother Byron win the Stock / SuperStock combo race .Byron wheeled his '95 Camaro LT1 SuperStocker to a.035 light and went on a winning 9.857 ET on his 9.84 dial.Meanwhile James Perrone was in the other lane with his small block powered early Nova and had the better light - .019 but his 11.337 was a wink under his 11.34 dial .James - you owe me that New York pizza and I'm holding you to it .
And we had another "Chamber of Commerce" day at Maple Grove - clear skies - temps in the low eighties and sunny ......what more could a racer ask for ? Again today the track had teeth - I overheard many racers saying their sixties were super .Before each session and round Dave Ley ( from East Coast Stock/SS ) and the Maple Grove staff inspected - dragged and sprayed in insure proper traction . Job well done boys ......... Sorry I couldn't stick around for the finals and winners cirle pictures ........... |

Congratulations to both Byron and Mr. Linke, looks like you guys had great weather and great track conditions. Sounds like this anniversary event will definetely be a success. Tip of the hat to Mr. Rinehart, Lex and all the sponsors.
