The NitroPlate $5000 Combo at the Beech Bend National Open was another great success this year. 89 drivers jumped in despite near-100 degree heat. Just like last year, the racing was spectacular.

Congratulations to Kenny Schindler for his win and Ricky Decker on his transmission breaking runner-up. Tremendous driving job guys!

Thanks go out to the fine folks at Beech Bend and team NHRA for providing a wonderful facility and a well run race weekend.

And special thanks to all the racers that entered the combo. Its great to see this kind of support. Class racing is still alive and doing fine.

Thank you for putting on the race Kevin and congrats to Kenny and Ricky. I know this combo race was a main reason I chose to come to Bowling Green this year instead of staying closer to home, and for the second year in a row I was not disappointed!
