X 6 6-1727 On the side of body.... 0-1233 Throttle blades are marked 15 degree 2.224 and 15 degree 2.196 Can anyone educate me as to what I have? |
Re: What AFB carb is this??
Does it have a number stamped in the base? Something like 3XXX S or 4XXX SA?
|
Re: What AFB carb is this??
James,
No numbers on the base, maybe PO filed it off? Thanks anyway. |

Re: What AFB carb is this??
I have a 1964 MW carb that has no numbers stamped in it, but it has the large throttle bores and the same linkage as my other 3705S carbs. What are the throttle bore sizes?

Re: What AFB carb is this??
The 6-1727 number on the air horn is a Carter part number for the air horn w/choke. I don't think that number is going to be very helpful in identifying the specific carb you have.

Re: What AFB carb is this??
Does it have Chrysler or GM linkage? Do you have a picture?

Re: What AFB carb is this??
I sent some pictures to GTX John since I have his email and I have never
figured out how to post pictures here. |
Re: What AFB carb is this??
Very small primaries and around 62 -65 origin. About 550 CFM.
Not a Big Block 383 or 426 but even smaller. Should have # down on ear but not visible in pic.......no high value part in my seldom humble opinion. Sorry GTX John |
Re: What AFB carb is this??
That's OK John.
I listed it for sale in the parts section for very cheap...... |
