Vert w/ hardtop question
Is it safe to assume that running a hard top on a convertible, say an early or mid-year 'Vette, suffices the NHRA from 13.49 down to the11.49 roll bar limit? Does the NHRA still see it as a convertible even if you're running the hardtop, or does the hardtop then follow the same 11.49 bar requirement of a typical fixed roof sedan/coupe?

If you 're talking about a Stocker however, the rules go by what class, rather than what ET. NHRA, in it's infinite wisdom , has a roll bar required in 12.85 Stockers. I questioned that a few times, and all I got was "huh? ,what? duh? |

Stock rules say " Roll bar in M/SA and faster" (12.85 index) |
Re: Vert w/ hardtop question
My local track says I need a helmet in the convertible but I don't have to wear it if I have the hardtop on.
