flex plate to converter spacers

I just know someone like Grainger, Fastenal or McMaster Carr stocks bulk spacers but time spent web checking has not found them.

I need 1/4" thick X 7/16" ID. Anyone have suggestions? Other sources?

A 1/4" of washers , it will never know the difference . Tack weld them together for ease of installation if you prefer.

Just make sure you don't space the pilot out of the crankshaft. That could cause a cracked flexplate , converter neck, or a vibration.

Use thick AN type washers, or make your own with a lathe.

As mentioned elsewhere, make certain that the pilot of the converter extends well into the bore on the back of the crank shaft.

try TE-CO Union Ohio--they make xtra thick hardened washers usually for use in machine shops for machine tool holding but never the less they make them--- probably from 1/4 in dia up to 1 1/2 inch several thicknesses

Ace Hardware has an assortment of thick washers. I bought some for just that purpose. Not having the converter in far enough can result in the front pump drive lugs breaking off. I learned that the hard way last year.
