NHRA approves a new "Dime Rocket"!
I guess I'm slipping. I've apparently got to start checking the guide for recent additions every week! 1986 Chevy or GMC pickup truck 350/165 factored to 165! That is one heck of a gift for a wanna-be Stock racer looking for that ten cent, throw it together combo! It is a U/SA combo that might not even be able to get light enough for T. Q-jet (size NA) 390/410 cam, 624 head, 055 intake (same as 305) with a HP factor 5 HP less than a 2V 283. The same basic combo in an 81 Camaro (10 ccs less in chamber) is factored to 287 HP!
One showed up at Branerd Div. race and went -1.32 before being tossed for wheelbase! Looks like the newbies aren't the only combos getting soft factors these days! |

Can this 350 run in SS/GT ?

Re: NHRA approves a new "Dime Rocket"!
No truck engines in SS or GT the way I read it.
I need one of those trucks!! |
Re: NHRA approves a new "Dime Rocket"!
Mark, I think you're right!
Ken, I don't think that truck motors are allowed in GT. |
Re: NHRA approves a new "Dime Rocket"!
