"Live" from the 2012 Cobra Jet Showdown at Milan Dragway
 

Over 41 Cobra Jet owners showed up to race in the 2012 Cobra Jet Showdown at Milan Dragway. Three classes have been set up for this years event.

Classes include:

• Super Stock for the 4.0L Supercharged Cars
• Top Stock for the 2.3L Supercharged cars and 2013 2.9 liter supercharged car
• CIC Class for all other Cobra Jet combinations

Gardner Stone has not raced in 40 years but purchased a Cobra Jet and attended Roy Hills school yesterday for Cobra Jet owners. he earned his license and plans on running in the top stock class in the showdown.

Skillman Performance Ford is at the Showdown with several cars in Super Stock and Top Stock class. This will also be a test for the BIG GO next week.

Carl Tasca makes a wheels up pass in his stick-shifted 2010 Cobra Jet. We hope to see this car dip into the 7 second zone this weekend.

Jimmy Ronzello's SS/CA Cobra Jet will run in the CIC class. This combo is the 5.4L engine with the 2.3L blower.

Special thanks to rocknrolla, great job on the live reporting. Well it has been a great day. Very laid back and with nothing but friendly racers to talk to. Tech was smooth and uneventful.

We have run two qualifying runs and should be getting a third very soon. I don't have any of the numbers, I have been very busy working on my ride. I did here that Chris Holbrook went I 8.99 in Top Stock and Charlie Downing went a 10.85 in the cic race.

I will be back later with some more happenings at Milan.
