Joe Gibbs Oil---cloggs a standard filter ???

Some of my more experienced engine builder---high RPM modified friends are unleashing a need for a special kind of filter "kit" needed to run Joe Gibbs oil. They are saying Joe Gibbs oil with standard type "paper" filter will cost you an engine failure by being clogged especially when a cold engine is started. Has anybody heard of anything like this with JG oil ??? Do WIX RACING filters have a problem with JG oil ??? I really hate to start another oil thread but I had to ask. Does anyone know about this filter "kit" that is so needed ???

for clarification----after research-----joe gibbs oil will clogg in cooler climates and prevent oil pressure with conventional filters------system 1 stainless cannister type filters will correct this problem.

So is there a problem with paper filters or not with this oil??????????????????????

there is definitely a problem with paper filters on "cold" starts........no oil pressure. It has happened more than once with JG. I don't like surprises at the track and it will happen especially in cold start situations. This is great oil just be very careful.

I've had a problem with certain wix filters with any oil. Not bashing anyone, just my experience.

But the System 1 filters don't have this problem?
