12 bolt ring and pinion set issues-
 

Anybody had any delays, issues,etc. trying to buy 12 bolt gear sets? I have tried to order one for my wagon for a month, it's back ordered.I understand Richmond was sold to a company that is concentrating on making 9"Ford gearsets and the 12 bolt stuff is allowed to set. Anybody trying to get one and can"t? Just checking.

Motive bought Richmond a while ago. The Richmond equipment was very old and worn, so Motive is moving their production to Italy where Motive gears are made. Olds Richmond boxes will be old Richmond parts; new stuff will be like Motive. There are temporary supply disruptions.

I have a good, used, Richmond high nickel 5.13 for 12 bolt

I had the same problem a few months ago when I was looking for Richmond 12 bolt pro gears. Finally found a set at Mark Williams. Was told the same thing about Motive buying Richmond and they supposedly were to have new gear sets still under the Richmond name in the early new year.

5.57's. New only, street gears fine, no old used stuff.It's going into a rather heavy car.

We're having same problem w/ 5.57 pro gears, was told not available untill June.
Change them every season as part of normal maintenance, lucky we had one extra set of new in reserve, but need to restock. Jackie's car is a brute on that 12 bolt.

Talked to a guy from Motive Gear today who said they will be making the Richmond line of pro gears by May. He said they made pro gears for 12 bolts but their lowest gear is 5.14 under the Motive gear brand. They supposedly are going to be making all the ratios under the Richmond brand.
