Is this head now illegal ?

Another newbie question for you. Got one of my heads back from the machine shop this way. This is just for my first class engine (N/SA). Would it get bounced ? Specifically the guide.

You mean the broken guide ? I wouldn't worry about it. ---Trevor

Re: Is this head now illegal ?
Should be okay as long as the runner does not pour over the spec.

Re: Is this head now illegal ?
I'm glad to hear that. I got a #462 327 head that's really nice, but it has an exhaust valve guide thats broken and needs a replacement. Fortunately, its in the port that connects with the heat riser crossover,so it couldn't be accurately poured. It would look almost exactly like the sample in the photo when its fixed. That helped my attitude today!!

Re: Is this head now illegal ?
Ok you veterans, after what "Stocker 2" posted I went to the "Stock/Super Stock Cylinder Head Volumes" list & my head isn't on it but it is listed in the "Engine Blueprint Specifications" list. I know this particular engine has been tried before but it was before the volume rule. What now ?
