Live from Work 2013 in KY and USA!!!
It's a beautiful day here in western KY and Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, and Kobelco new surplus, used, and new replacement parts are flying off the shelves.
Density altitude is at 567' so the fork trucks and skid steers have plenty of power. The back lot is still wet after the weekend rain, but lowering the air pressure on the Bobcat helped for more traction. VHT application did not work, mud must be too cold. We will try the VP next time. Hopefully we can post more updates from multiple locations across the country as the work week continues as we have reporters all across the state and country. Signing off for now as I need to ship some items. Ira Fourohonekay |

Re: Live from Work 2013 in KY and USA!!!
Tuesday is just test and tune for working folk.
Qualifying is today; however, I was able to get a copy of my test runs from yesterday. It does not 60 foot that well, but the 60-330 split times are really good. I sell more Caterpillar than JCB parts, but I made an exception for this one. http://youtu.be/C4Q54DkJ8nY Check back later today for a full qualifying report of competitors and pictures. We tried a crawler class, but the fan base just was not there as racing took forever. We had to re-grade the track when the racers would race with the ripper down so they would not hit the AHFS. Dug a damn trench every time. WHRA competitors are very cautious about protecting their combination. Too bad Keith Lynch didn't run one, it would be nice to see what a Deere 420 crawler would do out the back door. Ira Fourohonekay |

Re: Live from Work 2013 in KY and USA!!!
A sure sign someone is not running flat out is they are moving buckets, thats better than brakes,
What angle should the bucket be @ on a heads up run? Ballast is as easy as scooping it up or dumping it. Did everyone see the rule WHRA put in effect starting this weekend? for those who don't know bucket must remain in non scooping position when exiting track and going to scales My BP diesel always passed fuel check the Valero (here in E Ky.alot of BP's are now Valero)fuel is supposed to be the same but it did'nt pass last weekend.I heard the off road diesel was more consistent on passing, but to not store it in your farm tank.
