question about coil springs
I bracket race a 68 mustang, it has a small block.
There are not many options for coil springs for early mustangs with small block. I was wondering if anyone has tried the Moroso trick spring they list for 62-67 chevy nova II. Do you think this would work better on my car than the 6 cylinder spring out of a Maverick that i am running now. |
Re: question about coil springs
The way those cars are built with the spring above the upper A arm I would try adapting a coil over shock in place of the spring. Someone probably makes a kit to do that.

Re: question about coil springs
We have correct drag springs in stock
do not use the moroso's they are too tall. |
Re: question about coil springs
I bought the lightest Moroso springs for my Falcon about 6 or 7 years ago. Ended up cutting 3 coils off to get the nose out of the clouds. Three years ago I added a 1" rubber shim to give the oil pan and headers more ground clearance. I should've cut 2 coils the first time and waited for them to settle I guess. Good luck and be careful.

Re: question about coil springs
I would call Alex. He knows what you need, and has it. He is a wealth of information about those cars.
