Only 28 days until the first 2 day BIR S/SS COMBO.
We have 8 inches of fresh snow on the ground and it is still coming down.
I hope the race will happen. I need to smell some race gas and burnt rubber!

We race at Brainerd International Raceway (as in Brain and nerd) in Minnesnowta (pardon the lame play on misspelling) in the land of 10,000 frozen lakes. It is currently below freezing with 6 to 12 inches of snow on the ground. I am wondering how deep the frost is under the BIR dragstrip,
and what track temp one should expect @ 9 AM in 3 to 4 weeks? Never much concern with the SS/PA 55 chev but most others may have traction issues. BTW what is the name of that dragstrip in VIRGINIA as in "Virginia Is For Lovers" where the temps are in the 70's and 80's and the sun has been sighted?

Glen just in case do you still have a snowmobile? If so you may need that. All this has to go away sometime right?

Three weeks from tomorrow is BIR 's opener / test and tune. Today's 8 inches of snow makes snowmobile drag racing seem a little bit more likely.

Doc you got off easy we got 18 inches of the white stuff and over
in wisconnyland they have 20 + and still coming. hopefully it warms up soon.

Just got out of a State of Mn. plow truck after 14 hours. 19 inches in Duluth, Mn. Roads are dry now and now I have to do something at home ??:eek:

We had 16 inches of snow here and at 5 AM Friday APRIL19 it was -1 degree!

And.... 20 days to the first race and MN fishing opener.(still 26 inches of ice on the lake)

This is getting OLD!
