National Anthem for the Sportsmen
 

I know at most races the National Anthem is sung before the pros get ready to race. I thought this would be cool for the sportsman racers, since its comes from a sportsmen racer.

A good friend of mine Rich Schreiner, a sportsmen racer sent me this link of his daughter Nichole singing the national anthem. This is the national anthem that Pete Biondo will use at the Spring Fling in Bristol coming up in a few weeks.

Knowing Rich and his family well, I am a little bias, but I think most will agree Nichole's performance is very good.

The National Anthem is normally played right after the Invocation is given.

Nicole has a lovely voice. It would be respectful to rise as the first note is played, face the flag (or the starting line if the flag cannot be seen), remove one's hat, placing the right had over the heart and remain silent (or sing along) until the Anthem has finished.

Please remember that there were many men and women who paid the ultimate price to allow us to enjoy the freedom to participate in this sport. A few moments of attention should not be too much to ask of anyone.

Ken, I am not knocking this young lady ,but someone may want to advice here that on the line that starts with (whose broad stripe and bright stars thru the perilous fight ) not night as she is singing it. again not trying to hurt someone but she will want to correct it I'am sure
