NHRA national event question

been a while since I have entered one. I see there is a lot of hoops to jump through. anyway, my question is: before I hit the buy now button for $310. does this price include the $100 insurance fee or is that extra, bringing the total amount to be charged $410. also is it credit card only or do they have options like paypal?
thanks,
Keith

Re: NHRA national event question

Like a lot of things, the first time through is confusing. This is what you do:

1. Register with an e-mail address and membership number and password into the national event system (nhraeventreg.com), and fill out your competitor info and classes.

2. Choose "select national events" and enter what you want (subject to grade point restrictions).

3. Go to "checkout", which is where the $100 insurance fee will magically appear along with your event price of $210. Buy like you would on Amazon.com, save the link to the ticket site (which is different, extremetix.com).

4. Go to the ticket site with your transaction number from checkout, select your driver ticket, add any crew tickets you need ($85 each for full event, $10 for kids) and checkout there as well. Give it one hour to process, then re-enter that system and print your tickets.

Holly crap on a cracker! you have to pay for the crew tickets now too? most of the time my crew is a last minute decision at best. I am debating on Bristol and maybe epping. does Bristol get prepped correctly for sportsman cars? last national I attended was the very first charlotte, 4 wide. and traction was a fregging joke. I hear e-town is having issues too. if it is to be this bad I will just save the cash....

Re: NHRA national event question

Usually the cut-off is 12:00 noon of the Monday before the event starts. Sometimes if one class fills up and another one flubs they may up the quota in that one. Really surprised they moved S/ST to Epping as their only National when they are still working on the facility and expanding it and the quota is only 40 cars!

It's $310 to enter S/ST at a national event?? What is the $100 charge for insurance? ..insurance for what?? ..insurance for corporates to get fat???
