Karl Lampkin, rest in peace.
Don't know if any of you guys knew him, but he was the chassis builder of LA Automotive race cars. Built all mine. He died Saturday.

Re: Karl Lampkin, rest in peace.
Karl built my son's super street Camaro. Great craftsmanship! and it works like gang busters. Great Guy who did great work. He had a heart of gold. We met him at Red River at the IHRA nationals in 1998 when it was postponed for a week. He came and stayed with us over the week. We had been friends ever since.

Re: Karl Lampkin, rest in peace.
OMG, so many of us are passing at an alarming rate. When I 1st entered the modified ranks in IHRA in 1993 he was the first to welcome me. He always started our conversations by saying...." you're running a 12 bolt in that heavy *** car?" And I would always say... "of coarse, it's faster till it bends" He would always say..."when you're ready to upgrade let me know." Another great one is gone...rip!!!!!
