M/T ET Drag tire "ST"
I am getting conflicting information about if the M/T "3056ST" is still available.Has any one purchased a set of these recently?

I am at Joliet Nats. Mickey Thompson is here. They have a trailer load of tires including STs. Not sure where you are sourcing tires, but maybe Larry hodge racing tires or direct from MT would be the way to go. Seems like tires are out there.

Not trying to derail this post but I was wondering about using the 3056ST on an automatic car. Is there a negative to this.

Re: M/T ET Drag tire "ST"
They have a harder compound and stiffer sidewall. If that is what your car likes, maybe it would work? I doubt if anyone will have first hand experience, but nothing is better than testing. I can tell you that I have seen people put the softer sidewall softer compound tires on stick cars with less than desirable results

Re: M/T ET Drag tire "ST"
Thanks James. In Canada the "usual" places we buy tires deal with either Keystone or Motorstate. Both these company's said that M/T changed all of there part numbers(according to M/T,NOT TRUE) and the ST trire was replaced with a new number. So I ordered that number VIA Keystone = wrong tire.Lucky for me I had pre-arranged with my local shop that if the tire was wrong they would return it.Just as a side note I decieded to call Keystone & Motorstate to see why there was a discrepancy in part numbers.Keystone would not even talk to me because I was not a "dealer";where as Motorstate was extremely helpfull. They even called M/T while I was on the line.
