Any truth to a rumored combo at Pacific raceway Aug 9
 

"Aug 9th is the race #3 at Pacific Raceways. This races is the weekend between the National event and the double header Div 6 race also at Pacific raceway. If you need a place to store your stuff for this race PM me and we should be able to find you a place. The last race we all pitched in $20 to increase the pay out. We were thinking the same lines but $100 for pay out. Most of the people we have talked to were ok with this. There is still $40 for track entry fee. We hope to draw allot of people to this race hopefully over 32 cars which would make a good pay out. If you can help with some sponsorship with this race PM me, anything for prizes. Please spread the word about this race for anybody that is coming from out of town or Division. Please let fans and specters know also these are the same cars that will be at the Nationals and divisional they can see for a fraction of the price and a one night race not all weekend. We are talking some nationally ranked drivers World Champ Brad Burton, Jody Lang and Mark Faul have all raced with us. The first 2 races were $6 to spectate this one should be the same. That's allot cheaper than a nhra race. So friends and family that don't come to nhra because of the price be sure to tell them about this race. More to come when we get closer. I think the potential for an awesome event is this one on Aug. 9th. With the National event before and the Divisional after should be a very high car count. Depending on each racer's travel and personal schedules car count could be as high as 35 or more. I hope the weather is cooperative to allow good times by all and very quick racing. There is a road race event that day also, so hope we all get in on time. Missed seeing you at the National Open at Bremerton last weekend. HOT weather, but great racing anyway. I believe 19 cars were there for the stock/super stock combo. On Saturday it was Mary Ann Method winning w/ Dave Barcelon r/u. Sunday Jim Storms was winner w/ Bill Edgeworth r/u. I was there both days helping a friend with his pro bracket car. Racing didn't go as planned, but was a great weekend anyway. Since I was involved with a car, didn't get to see as much of the combo as normal, but still could watch most of the close racing from our pit area. We we're pitted along the return road, so could watch the cars race easily. Yes, I am planning on being at Pacific on the 9th. Looking forward to the action.

Cmon,, Ron,, you guys have an excellent pit spot for viewing the race track,,, its almost as good as mine.

Dang it !!!!!!!!! I can not make this one, I have a Daughter getting married that evening ..... I will check in to see how thinks are going as the evening go's on !!!!!!!!!!!!! Any truth to the rumor of some more "combo" races over at Bremerton Raceway ?

I'm going over there in the morning, Kelly,, I'll see if I can find out anything. Do you know who is coordinating this at Bremerton, or do I have to talk to Barb in the tower? Inquiring minds want to know.

Talked to Barb from Bremerton this morning,,, and she said that she was up for it, if someone wants to contact her. She said she could possibly do one still this season. Now the ball is in your court,,, so contact her and see what can develop. Good luck, racers. I hope it works out for you all.

:rolleyes: I thought that things were in place for this to happen at Bremerton - my bad. Must be old age setting in - or something. This could be another great venue for this type of race. Hope James Boyce or Jim Storms sees this and keeps it going.

:rolleyes: Yes we do, but I like to be at the water box for a close up of the action. Hope the racing is awesome at Woodburn. The weather looks to be HOT. How is the recruiting going for the Aug. 9th combo at Pacific?? Hope to hear some updates soon.
