Low travel hydraulic stocker lifters

Ineed some input on the "best' or the right way to adjust these things. I'm not sure about the way they "feel" or the noise they make when I adjust them. bye the way, they are Trend lifters for a small block chevy. Any Input will be appreciated.

Only have had these for 3 yrs-But this is how I've been doing it--------
I push down on the back side of the rocker with my finger while sliding a .015 feeler gauge between the rocker and the valve and adjust lock nut for the "feel" that I like ! Sooner or later I will try setting them looser or tighter ?

G Anderson,
That is the same method I use.
I say if you tighten your lash to .003 or .005 you'll see and improvement.

I use the in closing/ex opening (honda method)in case need explanation, intake is almost closed set the ex ex barely opens set the intake if engine is warm usaully start with setting ex valves,if you go through all ex or all in engine does'nt have to rotate alot if rotating by hand just make sure you rotate engine the direction it runs.
