Another stocker cage question
What is the best way to mount?? plate to the floor or directly to the frame?? any pics would be helpful!
If it matters its a 69 Camaro |
Re: Another stocker cage question
the best way is to form the plates, to wrap around the inner rocker panels and onto the floor, and also place the diagonals (bar ''d'' in the rule book) onto the subframe connecters thru the oval drain holes in the floor ahead of the rear seat. you could also use tubing from the subframe, out to the rockers and drop the rollbar onto those. but the plates are an easier way to go.

Re: Another stocker cage question
The plan is to go with a 10 point, we're trying to stiffen the chassis as much as possible. We are leaning towards going direct to the frame connectors..... I guess my question, is the extra work worth it. Will it stiffen the car more??
Another question for you 1st gen Camaro guys... Notching front crossmember for ease of oil pan removal, ya or nay? |
Re: Another stocker cage question
I ran my cage directly thru to Subframe Connectors and have not had a
chassis problem in over 20 years and 3000 plus passes! |
