AC Cobra Super Stocker
 

Soooooooo! What does everyone think about the Cobra roadster Super Stocker that the Stock family ran at the Northern Sportsnationals this past weekend?
Beautiful PK Race Cars built car. I think it ran GT/CA. I was told it has a newer engine package from the Cobra Jet cars.
Car has no roof or convertible top. Quite innovative but does it belong in S/S???

I had the same idea a couple of years ago when Holbrook did his magic with the 352.....add that to a cobra kit car and go SS racing.......Of course it belongs in GT....likely more fun for the chasis builder too than the FWD conversion projects...I am sure the fans like the look more too...But for real style points, I'd do it with a stick....

Jeff,

Yes it does, the guide has it listed as a roadster. No where does it say you have to run a top. AC Cobra's came from the factory with no tops. There were options for tops, but most cam without.

Very cool to see the AC Cobra at the strip again.

I thought convertibles had to run with the tops up. Watch for some Corvette "roadsters" to lose their tops.
