Power Glide Gears

I have a lighten carrier can I just swap gears in it or do the gears need to be timed. Tom

Tom the Powerglide gears do not have to be timed unless you are running 1:96 or 2:04 ratios.

the 1.98 and 2.08 gears need to be timed as well.

I am putting stock 1.82 gears in my sons dirt track car trying to make it go faster. Us stock superstock guys are always never happy. Tom

Tom,
If you keep breaking those 1.82 gears I have a new Srt.Cut set of 1.82's that fit the lite weight 6 cyl carrier. I'll take $425 for them and the complete set comes with new pins and bearings.
