Points are awarded in the annual competition to current-year entries in Funny Car, Pro Stock, Super Stock, and Stock as follows: 60 for an eliminator victory, 40 for an eliminator runner-up, and 20 for an eliminator qualification.

Ford, which won the first two Manufacturers Cups in 1964 and 1965, scored 6,820 points to edge out second-place Dodge, which accumulated 6,460 points. Dodge drivers accrued more points at NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series national events than their Ford rivals but earned no points on the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series trail, where the Ford pilots excelled at the grassroots level.

Chevrolet, which has won 19 NHRA Manufacturers Cup titles, finished in third and Toyota fourth.

The credit for this win goes to the sportsman racers.

Thanks to all the racers who contributed to this trophy, it truly belongs to them.

We had an amazing season and look forward to an even better 2014!

We're putting out even more contingency for next season and have some exciting plans for promoting drag racing and our teams.

To anyone on here going to PRI please stop by and say hello. We're all in this together and have an interest in growing the sport.

I think it's awesome but I'm biased...was waiting until somebody, anybody posted their congrats but it's been a week.

So, YAY FORD!!!

A big thank you to Jesse for all the effort you put forth as well. Now if we can get more Fords in the class guides than just mustangs....;)

Congrats to Ford.

I liked that full page ad in National Dragster showing all the Ford winners at Indy.
