I am not old enough to be alive when this car was racing, but did Weld make smoothie from wheels back in the day as listed in the Barrett Jackson description? Just curious.

Weld made a wheel similar to the Crager Super tricks back then.

If one could consider a race car an investment that one would surely fit the bill...beautiful machine.

I remember one very similar to this at Sanair many years ago. The only difference was that all of the trim was anodized gold. It was a 410/427 convertible, same color. I particularly remember that the owner was yelling like a crazy person at his kids in the pit area- over what, I don't know. Could it have been the same car?

Yes its the same car. It just sold on Bill of Sale only...for $25000.

Several people looked at the car years ago when it was for sale. A title showing it as a 427 car could not be produced. Serious collectors passed on the car back then.

Today its just a racecar with a 427.
