transfer tanks/towing

is there any nice ones for a dually. I would like to see what some of you guys have in your trucks. a tool box with the tank in the bottom is what I am leaning towards.
It needs to look nice . I would want it hooked direct to my fuel system .

Had a guy in Naples, FL build me a custom 90 gallon tank out of .090 aluminum for the GMC Dually for $275.00 complete with baffles.....best move I ever made and had it designed so the roll-top would slide right over it

Phil wish we talked before the weekend. A bud of mine and I were making some and I got one in my dually. Tall and skinny rt at the front of the bed. Push the toolbox back a tad and put er in. 45 extra gallons and it gravity feeds into the stock tank. Its perfect for me. I can go roughly 800 miles towing my LQ w/o a fuel stop. Havent made any in a while but could probably gear up to make a few. Problem is I was using ATP and buying virgin aluminum it was hard to keep the cost down.

$275!! Holy S--t! Musta had leftover materials or something cause the material bill could easily be $275.

Could be Kenny.......friend of a friend....at his home shop.....but it was very nice work and also back in 2007. Some of the prebuilt ones I looked at were pretty much the same price back then....but couldn't find one that would fit under the roll-back...

perhaps try a heavy duty truck salvage yard--- they dismantle Semis/buses/vans/straight trucks and you can pick them up in my area a used tank for about a buck a gallon!!!

I also use Transfer Flow, and highly recommend them. Back in the 90s I used a W---gard tank. It cracked and rusted so I went through a lot of fuel filters before giving up on it.

Darn, too bad I didn't know because I coulda showed you the 60 gal. w/tool box I have in my dually. It's under my topper, but I switched the sliding window around so I can open it at the front and fill the tank through it. But the window does leak some when it rains.:( I've also seen some set-ups where the filler cap is built into the side of the topper. It's made by RDS which are sold by Northern Tools. I got mine at a local truck supply store.

It is gravity feed with a shut-off valve. I believe I read somewhere that you are not suppose to keep it open while on the road per DOT regs. Hope someone can clarify. But I open it at the track and it refills the main tank there.

It's great to be able to skip through the higher fuel price states!
