Wagon Train

23 out of 51 cars entered in Gainesville are new cars (deritives of modern, high tech, fuel efficent after bankruptcy or near bankrupt vehicles); 08 or newer. That is 45%. The Native Americans are surrounding mostly European decent settlers.

Re: Wagon Train

Only 4 of 49 entered at Phoenix are new iron...does that mean the Wagon Train hasn't got there yet or did and already came back (due to taxes I assume).

Go West young man!!

Jeff, you forgot under-factored. :-)

Fastest SS/JA car in Nitro Joes new book is actually a Stocker!

But, they "have worked on it really hard". LOL

And you keep telling me how I need HP? :-)

Jim, I think the European Settlers got to the promised land, got promised more tax, and returned, but many went Southeast to Florida. Only 4 in Phoenix? Maybe it's too dry for EFI? Being from a part of the country that considers 70% humidity dry, I just can't say. Ed, you need whatever Cooter got.

LS1? Yes, that's a softer deal. Maybe I can help that other car get some hp.

Ed, It is ashame that the Underfactored cars have an advantage. Do not blame the owners, Blame the manufactures and NHRA.
Before you make statements on how hard people work on their stuff, you should know the facts.

We all work hard on our stuff. I was working to make mine faster before there ever was a Drag Pak.

I don't blame the ownners. It's the reps from the mfgrs, and whoever at NHRA thought (or maybe just don't know that much about it) that the submited specs were OK. But do find it a little funny when some think they are that fast just because they work hard, not because of their bogus hp factors. Some are honest about it. Some are not. I think some may just consider themselve that sharp.

Don't care who it is, how smart they are, how much money they have, or how hard they work, a legit-rated Stocker will never be the fastest SS car in the class that also has the most cars running.

You did forget to mention one important fact.....the fact that how much yourself and the owners of the new cars have benefitted from the underfactoring. I've "worked hard" on my car for over 30 years, but apparently not hard enough according to you.
