Well, most of us didn't have 100K laying around.....but I know where you're coming from

I'd rather take something and max it out thru test & effort rather than write a check...just sayin'

Take care Alex, if all goes well we'll see you in Columbus (hope your doing well)

Brain is great Randy, just the body and the@^$@^%$@^% insurance company that's unco-operative.
in 1969 dollars I figure it would have cost around $10 grand or so
looking forward to seeing you guys, boy do I miss BIR and racing in general :-(

Brain's OK? Your thinking $10,000 was do-able in 1969? I'm making $1.65/hr pumping DX Super Boron @ .29/gal. trying to swing 36 equal payments for my '69 396/375 Nova that listed for $3,625, lying thru my teeth to my Insurance guy that it was a small V-8 to pay for premiums.....'ya sure, coulda had a ZL-1 for $7K plus and had the $3 in the pocket!!!

Better have that brain checked again!

Just kid din' ol friend.....take care

That $3600 for the nova may have bought a used 427 Cobra. Hind sight. Wish I had some.

$3.50 an hour in 1969? Yes, he was your uncle. Everybody else in the country was making less than 1/2 that.
