When do I get my National Event without AHFS

I think it's great that the new cars get to race some of the National Events without the AHFS taking effect. But Why don't all of us poor stock guys get the same number of events without the AHFS? Indy would be even a better race if there was no AHFS. Maybe our reps could help us on this one. Even the ones that benefit from the way the system is now. Barry

Everyone gets it at an open. I want it at a National Event. There is a big difference between an open and a National Event.

Jack, Why aren't you in Florida running some crazy numbers with the rest of them? Look I love the new cars. But 8:60's in STOCK REALLY!! And no AHFS. If nothing else at least run all of stock at the race without AHFS. With the air that good maybe a few of the older cars (guys) could tune them up for some big numbers. BP

Barry - Sorry to disappoint you but my COPO couldn't go 1.65 under while falling off a cliff .And BTW, I also agree with you - if the shootout cars are on the ladder there should be some sort of AHFS in place ......but I don't think we'll ever see it as getting the car companies and the NHRA on the same page will be tough .

The air at Indy is generally pretty bad.If you have to worry about hitting the brakes at that race, your car might be in the wrong class to begin with.

Re: When do I get my National Event without AHFS

I have asked for years for a no AHFS race. First Indy, second Sportnationals, and we at least got the Opens. I will ask again. And again. This will make 3,487,868.3 times, but I don't go away easy. I think it is overdue and would add excitement to these races. I will also ask tor 9.95 and 10.20 indexes for the Shoot Out cars which was my number to begin with. Now under the old banner of 'be careful what you ask for, because you might get it', what are the downfalls? I'm sure my astute fellow racers have thought of this? I don't see any, but as Forrest Gump says, "I'm not a smart man".
