Made it to the track around sundown, and found a nice little endcap pit spot (one of the perks of having an itty-bitty rig) ;-) Quite a bit of grass pit area left, and as someone had mentioned, you can see strips where drainage tile had been installed. Place looks nice, and people were quite friendly. Looking forward to scoping the place out tomorrow. This is my 70th track to have raced at now! (Well, will be tomorrow)

Stopped for gas in Ohio just before getting into Indiana, and randomly ran into S/SS fan and ClassRacer member doglover44 and got to chat for a bit. Tiny little world! My GPS took me on the scenic route from the western part of IN into IL. Lots of 2-lane farm country, but no traffic.... But got where I was going!

Still lots to do in the morning, including swapping fuel and teching in, but no Stocker this weekend, so I've got a little more time. Miss having my own home and being able to get fuel out of a drum. Went to KilKare last weekend for the first time and bought fuel there, so I've got to drain the mixed stuff out.

More tomorrow!

It's gonna be a bright, bright, sun shiny day. Qualifying day here at the NHRA Div. 3 LODRS at Route 66 Raceway. They've run through S/ST, finished up Stock after a pretty good oildown (didn't see who it was), and are about done with Super Gas. Current weather, 77.8F, 39%, 29.27, 2309' DA. We catch a little tail breeze now and then. Air was more around 1800' this morning.

Sun's moving fast! I've had to move my chair three times already. ;-)

Hadn't heard anything, although it's come up in conversation with a few folks. Maybe even wondering if that's why the car count is low.

Waiting for Q2 of Super Stock yet, as we were running behind schedule, so they went ahead with TS, TD, Comp, etc. I think they said we're after Alky, which I think is running now. Scooted out for a bit to grab a bite at Pop's, the pretty new looking gas station/truck stop just a mile or two down the road. Saw some random artillery, a tank, and a Blues Brothers car on a stick.

Fri Chicago time and other than M /beards post nothing about any of the classes in 12 hours of racing--anybody know where to look for results???

DRC still does end-of-day reporting when the info is sent to them.
